A few words about club rules: they are pretty straightforward and are displayed on the board on the side of the clubhouse. Please take a few minutes to read through them.
One important but simple rule that we may not have mentioned to everyone: when you go to play; you must sign in on the board as to what court, what time and who is playing. Whether you are playing singles or doubles you have an hour. If no one bumps you please continue to enjoy yourself.
If you are bumped, don’t fret, just go back to our pretty patio and see what court you can bump next. It is rare that you won’t be able to get back on in fifteen minutes or so. Sit and chat and meet new people and enjoy the fruits of the hard work our members did in sprucing up the patio.
I also want to reiterate that we are a member owned club. What that means to you is simple: with our membership’s help there are many things we can accomplish. We sometimes need your help with parties, fundraisers, spring and fall cleaning. We always ask for volunteers and have been blessed to have a good response. If you care to volunteer for one of our committees, we would love to have you. There is nothing that we cannot accomplish if we set our minds to the task. If you have a penchant for membership, tournaments, grounds, advertising, parties or any specialty you think we could use, we would love to hear from you.
Enjoy your summer, meet new players, get involved and most importantly HAVE FUN.

Play Ball
At Montclair Country Club, members of the Mens Team — John Locke, Brian Halpin, Bernie Jones, Tom Edwards, and Art Fredman—show off their 'whites' which were required at the club.
Those who came to our first screening on June 19 had a wonderful time and look forward to the next one on Friday, July 2 at 8:30 pm. For the low price of $7.00 you get a movie, a short, drinks and popcorn! What could be better on a summer's night? Our next feature is “Without A Clue" with Sherlock Holmes as the bumbling detective and Dr. Watson as the genius, and it stars Michael Caine and Ben Kingsley who never disappoint.
