As I read all the wonderful e-mails suggesting names for our newsletter, about assigned play and other matters, I think: there is truly a wealth of members who love Berkeley.
What we need is for those members to get more involved with the needs of the Club. I have already asked you for prospective members, which I know you are all working on. Now I will ask
for your commitment to some of our committees. If you can lend a hand, even for one project, then we can get enough volunteers for all our events.
We need people on the Membership/Advertising, Additions/Improvements and Social/Entertainment Committees, to name a few. If you would like to help, please notify the chairs by
email:
We are also looking for someone to chair Membership — even a co-chair would be great. Contact me and I’ll go over the responsibilities with you.
Remember, we are only as good as our members allow us to be. The more help we get, the more tournaments, socials, and other programs we can enjoy. These are the things that bring new members and keep current members active.
See you on the courts!
ALERT! - 3.5 to 4.5 Players
Our pro will be conducting a weekly 4.0 Men's Clinic scheduled for Sundays at 1pm. Sign-ups can either be for the season, or per session.
Wander on down to Berkeley on any given Sunday afternoon - There's always something going on!

Berkeley Board members have arranged for a home-away Challenge Match Series between Berkeley and Arlington Players Club in Kearny, NJ. The Match is a product of a January meeting with Berkeley, Arlington and the Nutley Tennis Club.
Berkeley was represented by VP Peter Kean, Ron Morrison, Marsha Sterm and Art Fredman. We hope to learn more from each other—for example, how Arlington’s method of court care enables it to open just hours after heavy rains. Get ready to play Arlington at our club!
NEW FOR 2010!
Berkeley members can sign up for ASSIGNED GAMES during week-days. We can schedule
singles and double games in advance with members on your ability level. Go to our site and select the 'assigned games' link. We do the rest! For more info, email Dori Teich (dori@teich.net).
